Envisioned as the new ‘Gateway to Lewisville’, the new design for Lewisville West Shopping Center introduces landmark appeal when traversing the I-35 corridor. The center is anchored by a local Hispanic grocer, which is reinforced by contemporary Latino architectural styling of the new facade and 40-foot tall tower elements. Multi-colored stucco volumes and varying parapet heights serve to break up the monotony of the facade with a fresh look and also promote tenant identity. Illuminated graphic signboards are proposed for tenant advertisement, which will also contribute to the ambiance of the center. Special attention was given to the softscape and hardscape areas with native drought-tolerant plantings and shade structures to increase pedestrian connectivity among the buildings.
