GFF was hired by UDR to design the Phase 2 Belmont Apartment Townhomes. The 13-unit townhomes have three different floor plan options and are positioned to provide front entry stoops on the adjacent streets. Creating a well-sized and highly amenitized pool area that maximize sun angles was a primary design goal for this project.
Alternating the third floor master bedroom location from unit to unit created opportunities for depth and spatial variation in the facades far beyond what is typically accomplished in a townhome project. This project also represents GFF’s invention of the pass through tandem garage unit plan, which allows two inline spaces to be accommodated on the ground floor of the unit when access is available to an alley or driveway on both sides of the unit.
