Mark Bowles is an Associate Principal with GFF, Inc

Mark Bowles received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State University in 1997. He joined GFF in 2013 and was named an Associate Principal in 2016. Prior to joining GFF, Mark spent his professional time working for firms such as RTKL in Dallas, The HOK Planning Group in Atlanta and Rialto Studio in San Antonio. As a registered landscape architect and urban designer, Mark has served as a project manager for a wide variety of planning, urban design and landscape architectural projects throughout the country. He has played key roles in the design and management of streetscape and courtyard designs on multiple urban mixed use developments and master planned communities. In addition, he has been responsible for design and management of numerous urban renewal, multi-family, retail, university, stream and ecosystem restoration, and small parks projects. Mark has also acquired extensive knowledge in all phases of the design process, contract documents, cost estimating, development of federal environmental documents, LEED documentation and large scale construction administration.

Several projects for which Mark has been responsible have won awards from the Greater Dallas Planning Council, AIA Center for Livable Communities, Texas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and the ITE Transportation Planning Council. In addition to his professional work, Mark served four years as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in Dallas, and served three years as Chairman of Planning and Design for the Texas Wildlife Exposition.
